Hi, I’m Akil (UH-kill) Rammohan. I’m a rising senior at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, majoring in Computer Science and Data Science. My interests include deep learning, agentic AI, natural language processing, and compiler design/programming languages. Feel free to reach out at [firstname dot lastname at gmail dot com]. In my free time I love playing tennis, reading, and playing games.
I'm currently a member of the inaugural Summer AI Lab (SAIL) at UW-Madison, funded by OpenAI and run by the N+1 Institute on campus. My team and I are working on an agentic news aggregator that intelligently handles both bias and the gaps in your knowledge. I'm also an intern at AppFaktors, an architecture as code startup where I'm working on implementing a RAG pipeline to both help generate architecture representations from company documents and answer questions about unstructured data relating to application architecture.
Previously I was an undergraduate researcher at the NeuroErgonomics Lab, where I worked on the LEARNER project under Drs. Ranjana Mehta and Ronak Mohanty, aiming to improve law enforcement training using LLM-enabled conversational NPCs in immersive XR environments.
